Maulvi Bilal Karimi, Afghanistan's ambassador to China, today inaugurated a freight train between Afghanistan and China in the presence of Special Representative of the Chinese Government Yushuoyong and other Chinese officials in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China. .

The train has left for Afghanistan with 50 containers loaded with electrical equipment, cargo and other goods, which will reach Herat's Herat port from Nantong city in 20 days.

 This economic link through the train is part of the One Belt and One Road project with the Chinese government that will strengthen bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.

Afghanistan has a large amount of goods to export to China. This cargo train will deliver Afghan products to China and meet the growing demand of Chinese consumers, opening a new chapter of joint cooperation.

With the opening of this train, Afghan traders will be able to export their goods to Chinese markets and import Chinese products to Afghanistan easily and cheaply.

The relevant authorities of Nantong city also assured the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate that they will continue this process of transaction by train to become an example of economic connectivity for the two countries.
